The Trainwalkers

Today we have three quarters of the 1989 Trainwalkers session. The band at the time were Mark Wills (vocals, bass), John Prendergast (guitar), Fintan Doyle (guitar) and John Ritchie (drums). The missing track is ‘Lighthouse’. A big thank you once again to Rob for digging this one out. You might like to check out a previous post on the band, the official website, irishrock.org entry, and MySpace page.

The TrainwalkersThanks to Conor over at Dublin Opinion for these tracks which featured on the 1989 Danceline Records compilation Nationwide. Incidentally Eddie Joyce or Steddie Eddie of Danceline fame is still active so check him out on MySpace or on Twitter.

The Trainwalkers from Tallaght, were formed in 1988 by John Prendergast (guitar), Mark Willis (bass), Paul Bolger (vocals) and John Ritchie (drums). Paul Bolger left in 1989 with Mark Willis assuming vocal duties and Fintan Doyle drafted in as second guitarist. The band recorded one Fanning session in 1989 and were runners-up in the Carling/Hot Press finals in 1989. The Trainwalkers now have a MySpace page with audio and video and expanded bio..
