Mundy (1996 Session)

From Birr, Co. Offaly, Mundy released his debut album ‘Jelly Legs’ in 1996. The track ‘To You I Bestow’ featured on the excellent soundtrack to the equally impressive Baz Luhrmann film ‘Romeo + Juliet’. They recorded this session for Dave Fanning in 1996 fresh off a UK tour and it shows. The band were Steo Farrell (guitar), Shane Fitzsimons (bass) and Cion O’Callaghan (drums). Engineer was Paddy Breen, producer was Pete Holidai. The session was recently rebroadcast on the Dan Hegarty show.

For one night only! The legendary Radiators From Space (13th Sept 1987)

Stumbling over this post by Tomboktu on the Cedar Lounge site prompted us to dig out ‘Dollar For Your Dreams‘ a cassette release of the 1987 reunion of The Radiators on Comet Records. Apparently this show was the first public performance of ‘Under Clery’s Clock’. Thanks to Rob Fortune for the cassette recording, to Joe Mooney for the poster and to Irish Rock for the tape inlay. Pete Holidai produced many Fanning sessions and is currently working through the Philip Chevron archive with a view to restoring for release (get in touch with Pete  for more details). The Trouble Pilgrims play the Stoneybatter festival at The Glimmerman this Sunday at 7pm (free).

Northlight Razorblade (1995 Session)

Northlight Razorblade were Dermot McNevin (vocals, guitar), Yvonne Cullen (cello, saxophone, piano), Terry Rainey (guitar), Maurice Kelly (bass) and Paul Vickers (drums). Maurice and Terry were previously in Imelda’s Boyfriend. The session was produced by Pete Holidai.
