Recorded between December 1989 and an unknown date this demo from Fountainhead was played by Dave Fanning on his RTE Radio 2 show presumably sometime in 1990. The band was essentially Pat O’Donnell and Steve Belton although there were a number of live lineups. I suspect this is track is quite rare so enjoy.. Thanks to Owain for digging this out.

From Dublin, one lineup of The Fountainhead according to irishrock.org was Pat O’Donnell (guitar), Steve Belton (guitar), Phil Rennicks (keyboards), Willie Demange (bass/synth) and Peter McKinney (drums). Essentially though the band was a duo around based around Pat O’Donnell and Steve Belton who appear in any publicity photos I’ve seen. This particular track is not listed in the band discography and could be a demo, hopefully a reader can help fill in the blanks.

From Dublin, The Fountainhead were Steve Belton (guitar) and Pat O’ Donnell (keyboards). They self released their first 12″ single ‘Rhythm Method’ in 1984. They signed to China Records and released two albums ‘Burning Touch‘ in 1986 and ‘Voice Of Reason’ in 1988. I recall a number of versions of ‘Rhythm Method’ but this one, taped off Dave Fanning’s radio show was an early favourite of mine and still sounds great today (apologies for posting a truncated version).
