On Sunday Lyric FM broadcast ‘No Journeys End’ the latest documentary feature produced by Paul McDermott. It told the story of Michael O’Shea an experimental musician from Carlingford who released a self-titled album in 1982. McDermott recounts how Michael built his own instrument, played Ronnie Scott’s and featured on national television. The documentary features contributions from among others, Michael’s sister Rita, Graham Lewis (Wire), Stano, Tom Johnston (The The), Gavin Friday (Virgin Prunes), Mark Prendergast (Irish Rock) and Jim O’Mahony (Belsonic Sound). The album was reissued in 2019 by AllChival Records.An accompanying oral history offers further detail and context.
