No More Fab Fifty?

Fans of Dave Fanning’s Fab 50 were disappointed to learn that there will be no 2018 edition of the annual rundown of listeners favourite 3 tracks of all time (or in latter years their favourite tracks of this millenium). In order to preserve this Christmas tradition we decided to pull out the stops and hereby present the 2013 edition in it’s entirety. If you like spoilers, the rundown can be found on our Fab Fifty index. If you happen to remember the tracklist of any missing years we’d love to hear from you.

  1. Was there a reason for no Fab50 this year?

  2. Here is a partial FAB 50 which I wrote down from a tape I once had. It’s from 1992. Some great Irish tracks here – aside from U2.
Except for 31 and 29 the rest still sound good to my ears today.

49 Carter USM – After the Watershed
48 The Boo Radleys – Lazarus
    47 Sinead O’Connor – Troy

    45 The Devlins – I Knew That
    44 Engine Alley – Infamy
43 U2 – Where The Streets Have No Name
42 The Smiths – This Charming Man
