Engine Alley to release lost third album ‘Showroom’

Engine Alley - Showroom

Engine Alley have just announced the imminent release of a lost third album and an accompanying tour. Titled ‘Showroom’ the album consists of tracks written between first album ‘A Sonic Holiday’ (1992) and second album ‘Shot In the Light’ (1995) and was recorded in Sun Studios, Dublin. It includes the upcoming single ‘No Guitar’ and old favourites ‘Car on Fire’ and ‘Pictureshow’. The songs have languished in the vaults for over 20 years and are finally seeing the light of day thanks to Rollercoaster Records. Engine Alley called it a day in 1996 but since then have reconvened regularly to play live shows. The band are Canice Kenealy (vocals & guitar), Brian Kenealy (guitar, keyboards, harmonica & vocals), Eamonn Byrne (bass) and Paul O’Byrne (drums).

Engine Alley play Sep 14th in the Workman’s Club, Dublin and Sep 15th in Cleere’s Kilkenny.

Although not on the album the following Engine Alley rarity was recorded in 1996 for a proposed Stars Of Heaven tribute album ‘South Of Heaven‘ which unfortunately never saw the light of day.
