Roger Doyle (2016 Interview)
Roger Doyle, renowned composer and founding member of Operating Theatre was interviewed by Dave Fanning on his 2fm show on Sunday 11th September. One of Roger’s early compositions ‘Four Sketches’ will be performed as part of the ‘Composing the Island: A century of music in Ireland 1916-2016‘ series in the National Concert Hall next Friday evening. The concert ‘Visions of Irish Modernism‘ is part of the Culture Night celebrations and is free but tickets are limited so booking is advisable.
The interview is well worth checking out but in our opinion could have been considerably longer and included a selection of Roger’s music which to be fair Dave played regularly on his show at least in the 80s while we listened.
