Wilderness Years (1985 Demo)

Wilderness Years were Ray Williams (vocals & guitar), Phil Nea (guitar), Derek Lee (bass) and Darragh Broe (drums). They recorded a Fanning session on 17/09/1985 featuring 1.Don’t change your mind 2. Never knew how much I cared 3.Original Sin 4. Growing up with Winston. This track however is a demo which Dave Fanning played circa 1988. It was produced by a 17 year old Garret Lee aka Jacknife Lee in the Divine Word Missionary studio in Maynooth.  Derek Lee was previously in Sack  and later he and Darragh were members of Guernica.

  3. This track is actually called Eradication Days and was recorded in 85 also. The band broke up in 86. I believe Derek Lee joined Guernica in early 87. The song was produced by a 17 year old Garret Lee later to become Jacknife Lee in the Divine Word Missionary studio in Maynooth. The drummer was Darragh Broe later of Guernica also, Ray Williams on vocals & guitar and Phil Nea on guitar.

  4. Thank you Hector! Don’t suppose you have a band photo? 🙂
