Eamonn Sweeney -Top 10 Irish pop culture moments of the 80s

Down Down Deeper and Down - Ireland in the 70s and 80s

Whilst listening to the radio on Saturday I happened to catch Eamonn Sweeney reminiscing about Ireland in the 80s on the Dave Fanning afternoon show. Eamonn did a rundown of his top 10 Irish pop culture moments of the 80s based on his recently published book ‘Down Down Deeper and Down: Ireland in the 70’s and 80’s‘ on Gill & MacMillan. Thanks to the wonder that is the RTE website I was able to listen back to the show later but unfortunately this version has the music edited out. Read reviews of the book in the Independent , Irish Times, on Cedar Lounge and by Star Of Heaven Stan Erraught.
