Andy White (Acoustic)

From Belfast, Andy White released his first single ‘Religious Persuasion’ in 1985 on Stiff Records and has recorded ten studio albums to date. He published an on-the-road journal ‘21st Century Troubadour‘ at the end of 2009. His most recent album ‘Songwriter‘ was recorded in Vancouver and features members of the Be Good Tanyas and the Neko Case band. Today’s track details a miscarraige of justice that was eventually reversed in 1989 after 15 years, and was also the inspiration for the 1993 Jim Sheridan film ‘In The Name Of The Father‘. This was recorded live during an interview Andy did on the Dave Fanning show in 1986.
