The Real Wild West
Today we have a track from ‘great lost Irish band of the 1980’s’ (according to The Irish Punk And New Wave Discography and who are we to argue) The Real Wild West. From Dublin and comprising Charlie Rafferty (bass & vocals), Paul Murtagh (guitar), Robbie Warren (drums) and Ian Smith (trumpet) this band was active from 1984 until 1990. This was taped in 1989 and we do not know what the track title is nor it’s ordinance, corrections as always most welcome.. Update: Thanks to Brian the track has been identified as the B side of ‘The Sixties’ produced by none other than Shane Macgowan and Philip Chevron.

great band, The Fireworks Factory shared a practice room with them in Temple Bar for a while. Always liked their music and great vocals, will they ever play a gig again.

Great band , madness and chaos in the cacophony of sound but greatness too. Pity more of their recordings are not accessible.
